Shelby graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Law in May 2022, and was licensed in May 2023, after taking some time at home with her then-newborn. She had the privilege of working at Rojas Smith as a law clerk during school, and getting to workcases, manage clients, and conduct her first hearing as a Rule XV certified student attorney during her 2021-2022 3L year as a law student. During law school, Shelby enjoyed being active with the Board of Advocates, and serving on the board her 3L year. Therewas never a doubt in her mind she wanted to litigate as a trial attorney, and now that is indeed what she does here in our office.
Shelby makes a point to serve your family’s needs in the way she wants her own family taken care of. Her case load is primarily high-conflict divorce, custody reopens, paternity, guardianship, and adoption clients who are looking for someone to care about thedetails. She also enjoys her criminal defense practice, assisting parents with education issues, navigating a DHS maltreatment finding, disputing a property award, adult crime victim advocacy, and a sprinkle of civil litigation.
While meeting with Shelby in the office, you may get to bond over her love of DIY manicures, animals, tattoos, and vegetarian junk food.
